ABOUT US
Central Lodge 1 is one of the premiere organizations of African American origin in the state of Indiana. Founded in 1849, it has been a pillar of Indianapolis. The fraternity has been instrumental in a few endeavors, such as assisting fraternal orders (such as our brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc), Madame CJ Walker, the NAACP, and the Indianapolis Recorder. We have a very impressive resume of service, and multiple brothers who have made a national impact in the community. As a Lodge we observed that the time was ripe to create our youth organization.
The Order of Pythagoras is the youth fraternity of Central Lodge 1. It is designed for young men between the ages of 9-20 years old. They are mentored by the brothers of Central Lodge and learn the values of achievement, service, brotherhood, and perseverance. We also provide real life experiences for our youth through mentoring, field studies, and campus visits. Contact us for more information.

The Order of Pythagoras, Central Chapter will attain, retain, and train young men to become the achievers, servants, and loyal statesmen of tomorrow.
WHAT WE DO
A select group of brothers from Central Lodge mentor and groom young men between the ages of 9-20. This includes meetings, community service, field studies, and other extra curricular activities.
OUR COMMUNITY
We are an Indianapolis based youth fraternity that mentors young men between the ages of 9-20. We perform a variety of events and meetings to engage both our youth and the greater Indianapolis area.
